About

Marin’s buildings are responsible for as much as 34% of local greenhouse gas emissions. The climate crisis we are facing requires urgent local action to reduce these emissions and transition away from fossil fuels. Improving the efficiency of both our existing and new buildings must be part of these solutions. The Marin Green Home Tour shines a light on the strategies that residents can adopt for healthier, more comfortable homes, smaller energy bills, and cleaner air.

The tour will include 8-minute video tours of 6 homes, plus short presentations by experts, links to relevant businesses, and useful resources, rebates, and incentives so attendees can benefit from the experience of our local sustainable living trend-setters.

The Marin Green Home Tour is a sponsored project of Sustainable Marin, a non-profit organization advancing sustainable principles in Marin County. The event will be guided and promoted by a network of regional partners including Marin Clean Energy, County of Marin, Drawdown Marin, Sustainable Novato, and the Environmental Forum of Marin, Marin Conservation League, Resilient Neighborhoods, Marin-Sonoma Building Electrification Squad, Sustainable San Rafael, Drive Clean Bay Area, Green Change, and Multicultural Center of Marin.
